Data Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This Data Policy explains how long TrendForge keeps your workspace data, how you can restore or download it, and what happens when something is deleted or a subscription ends. It applies to solo accounts and to team workspaces. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.
1. Trash (30 Days)
When you delete a content session or a capture page, it moves to Trash instead of disappearing right away. A content session comes back with its trends, posts, comments and reels; a capture page comes back with its leads.
Items stay in Trash for 30 days. During that time the person who deleted the item, an Admin or the Owner can restore it or delete it forever from the Trash page. After 30 days it is removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
2. Downloading Your Data
The account Owner can download a full copy of the workspace at any time from the Profile or Team page (DOWNLOAD MY DATA). The download is a JSON file that includes your account details, content sessions, trends and posts, ideas, capture pages and leads, CRM records, Brand Hub entries, bookings, reviews, agency client brands and the team activity log.
For your security, the export never includes passwords, sign-in records or the access tokens for connected social and Google accounts. Each download is recorded in the team activity log.
3. Activity History (12 Months)
The team activity log (invites, role changes, reviews, approvals, exports and similar events) is kept for 12 months. Older entries are removed automatically.
4. When a Teammate Leaves
Content a teammate created for the team stays in the shared workspace. Their own connected social accounts leave with them, and any posts that were set to publish through those accounts go back to reminder mode. Items assigned to them are unassigned.
5. When a Subscription Ends
If a paid plan or Team Professional subscription is cancelled or ends, your data stays in place. The account moves to the features of the plan you still have, so you can sign in, download your data or subscribe again at any time.
Teammates who already joined keep their access. New invites are paused until the workspace has an open seat again.
6. Closing Your Account
You can ask us to close your account and delete its data through the contact form on our Help page. We delete the account and its workspace data within 30 days of confirming the request. Please download your data first, because deleted accounts cannot be restored.
Billing and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires, even after an account is deleted.
7. Backups
Our hosting provider keeps routine backups to protect against data loss. Data you delete may remain in those backups for a limited time until they are overwritten. Backups are used only to recover from outages or errors, never to restore deleted data on request.
